Ashish is a software industry veteran. A graduate of IIT Delhi and Purdue University, he started his career in Silicon Valley in 1989 with a startup. He moved to Bangalore and set up three new software development organizations from scratch and grew and nurtured them into highly productive software development labs until eventual acquisition. He then had stints at Yahoo, Bangalore and Flipkart as VP of Engineering. Ashish is an expert in Big Data and AI.
SpiceJet was looking for a CTO that was from the technology background rather than from the aviation background. Ashish joined SpiceJet last year as its Chief Technology and Innovation Officer with zero experience in aviation, with the vision of transforming SpiceJet into a technology led Company that is the worldwide leader in Aviation Technology
